We are thrilled to invite you to a vibrant evening of live poetry at the announcement of the short list of Public Poet Brussels on December 7th at 8:00 PM. Join us at GC Pianofabriek, located at Rue du Fort 35, 1060 Saint-Gilles, for a celebration of urban creativity and linguistic diversity.
What to expect?
Witness the culmination of the “Public Poet Brussels” project initiated by MolenbeekforBrussels2030 in collaboration with the Brussels Region and watch five urban poets or collectives present their poetic and participative projects to the Brussels audience.

Engage in the democratic process by casting your vote for your favorite candidate from December 8th to December 31st, 2023 and discover the chosen Public Poet of Brussels, to be announced on January 15, 2024, in a much anticipated revelation.
The selected Public Poet of Brussels will embark on a two-year poetic journey, commencing on World Poetry Day, March 21, 2024, and concluding on March 20, 2026. Over this period, they will craft 19 poems that reflect the vibrant reality of Brussels.
Make sure to mark your calendars for this extraordinary night. Your presence, along with that of the esteemed jury and steering committee, will make this event truly special. Let’s come together to celebrate the power of words and embrace the rich tapestry of Brussels’ multilingual reality!
