Pop-up interventions at different locations in the city
Unexpected speeches are delivered at various meeting places in Brussels. But this time the speakers are not politicians, but young city dwellers. During a six-day workshop, they have worked on their own speech about politics and social coexistence. What could this mean for our democratic system and the way we live together? How do we organize ourselves, or make joint decisions? What do we want to decide together? These questions are the premise for stories by young people from Brussels about how they see society.
Today, superficial digital forms of civic engagement have increasingly become the norm. An Analogue Campaign bucks this trend and returns to the physical space and word-of-mouth context of the public forum. Speakers address their fellow citizens directly, sharing their concerns and opening themselves up to unexpected encounters in the public sphere.
