Een open huis voor iedereen (An open house for everyone)

People who want to engage in inclusive volunteer programs are often hampered by a lack of knowledge about the legal framework around volunteering for people in administratively vulnerable positions. Are you able to do volunteer work if your asylum procedure is still ongoing? If a mother wants to participate with her toddler, is that OK and will the toddler be insured? And can you commit to a cause in the city if you’re on temporary disability?

During this networking day for stakeholders in the cultural field, we will figure out these questions and talk about how inclusive we can (really) be.

In the wake of the How to OMTA* project and the creation of its culture committee, Cultureghem has set up a learning network with the help of Demos. Together with other cultural organizations who want to democratize their programming, we will discuss our respective work processes, how we each redistribute power, where we differ and clash, and so on.
