Public Poet Lisette Ma Neza presents her first poem in Brussels Central Station

Aurelien Goubau

Public poetry from 7:30 to 9:00 AM and from 3:30 to 6:00 PM

During the morning and evening rush hour, Lisette Ma Neza will perform live her first poem “Nous sommes à l’aise” live, accompanied by pianist Neil Akenzua on the balcony above the grand staircase in the ticket hall of Brussels Central Station.

Inspiration for this poem:

Lisette decided to write her first poem as Public Poet Brussels at the place where she set foot in our capital, Brussels Central. She was also inspired by photographer Melanie Musisi’s portraits of ordinary Brussels residents.

This is the first poem in a series of 19 poems that Lisette will create to celebrate the power of words, focusing on the city and its inhabitants. She will collaborate with various Brussels communities and embrace the rich spectrum of Brussels multilingualism.

All information about the selection of the first Public Poet Brussels can be found here.
