We have fantastic news to celebrate together! MolenFest, the preview of our candidacy for European Capital of Culture 2030, has just won the prestigious “Brussels Best Co-creation Award” at the visit.brussels Awards 2024.
A huge thank you to all of you: participants, partners, artists, volunteers, and residents for your collaboration that made this success possible.

A collective victory
This award above all celebrates the power of a collective journey. Thanks to the active participation of 68 partners, including KANAL-Centre Pompidou & la Maison des Cultures et de la Cohésion Sociale de Molenbeek, MolenFest delivered a unique, inclusive, and accessible program, making the entire city vibrate for 12 unforgettable days.
With 23,500 participants and 84 diverse activities ranging from music and circus to dance, art, and gastronomy, we have proven that the people of Molenbeek and Brussels live in the spirit of co-creation and diversity.

Why does this victory matter?
This recognition highlights the importance of building together an inclusive, hyper-diverse, and accessible city. MolenFest is more than a festival: it is a vibrant space for meeting, sharing, and participatory creation, where every voice counts.
This award is also a strong signal for the future, an encouragement to pursue our shared ambition: to make Molenbeek a European reference in culture, inclusion, and generosity, as we prepare our bid for European Capital of Culture 2030.
