Why vote for MolenFest at the visit.brussels awards?
This new kind of festival offers a true celebration of diversity, culture and collaboration, with a varied program in cultural venues and public spaces.
MolenFest is also a foretaste of what Molenbeek has in store for you as part of its bid to become European Capital of Culture 2030. The key words of this ambitious project? Co-creation, inclusion, hyperdiversity and solidarity.
By voting for MolenFest, you’re supporting an innovative initiative that’s shaking things up and helping to build a city that’s more inclusive, multicultural and accessible to all.

Numerous partners and participating artists
MolenFest’s unique format lies in the co-creation of its program with numerous partners and cultural players:
Architecture Workroom Brussels • BubbleTech • Cinemaximiliaan • Charleroi Danse • Cultureghem • Decoratelier • Ecole de Cirque de Bruxelles • Kaaitheater • KANAL-Centre Pompidou • Maison des cultures et de la Cohésion Sociale de Molenbeek • MigratieMuseumMigration • Molenbeek for Brussels 2030 • Recyclart • UP Circus & Performing Arts • Vaartkapoen • Yume House • Zinneke • … (full list on our page MolenFest)
Some activities directly solicited audience participation. Such was the case with Léon. In this participatory performance, festival-goers could join workshops open to all. Whether inventing the choreography and scenography, making costumes during the workshops or preparing the festive meal, everyone could add their personal touch to this collaborative, ephemeral and unique work.
Do you think MolenFest has helped showcase the capital during 2024?
