MolenFest, a festival designed to give a foretaste of the cultural programme of Molenbeek for Brussels 2030’s bid to become European Capital of Culture.

Thank you to the many partners and artists who helped create such a rich and eclectic programme.
Thank you to the more than 200 volunteers who contributed to the success of this festival, especially during the great SADAKA banquet which brought together more than 10,000 people.
A very special thank you to the teams of KANAL – Centre Pompidou and the Maison des Cultures et de la Cohésion Sociale of Molenbeek for co-hosting this second edition of MolenFest with us!
At the heart of the project is the idea of SADAKA
Which means generosity, kindness and solidarity in more than 10 languages.
That’s exactly what happened during this festival, which brought together cultural organisations, local and international artists, neighbourhood associations, actors from Molenbeek and Brussels, and residents from everywhere, from all cultural and social backgrounds.
We brought together young and old, people of different languages and cultures. Special attention was given to minorities and people with disabilities… so that everyone could feel fully included in this festival.
