Urban Ritual

Urban Ritual invites you on a journey through movements, gestures, stories and rituals. You will be immersed in a contemporary ceremony in the public space, inspired by different cultural and spiritual traditions. You’ll connect with others through welcoming gestures, dance to the rhythm of your own emotions, and join us in celebrating everyone’s uniqueness and connectedness. By acknowledging our personal and collective stories, we can give complexity, pain and sorrow a place and transform together towards a better world.

Brussels-based performer and choreographer Einat Tuchman explores the complex relationship between the self and the collective environment in relation to territoriality and ownership.

Urban Ritual is organized by Bildy, a participatory community project in Sint-Jans-Molenbeek.
