Six international directors – under scenario guidance from Jaco Van Dormael and Sulaiman Addonia – created their own interpretations of the theme of solitude and then filmed their stories in a variety of ways. In addition to the recurring theme, all the films share the same format. Always in 4:3, black & white and without dialogue, but invariably with a unique and quirky take on the subject.
The Brussels musical duo Simon Ho and Hannibal Saad were inspired by six silent films to compose a series of unique musical interpretations together with a diverse team of musicians. Instruments, sounds and voices meet, taking the audience on a magical journey.
